An Immersive Comedy Improvisation Retreat with INSTANT WIT

This really is an experience not to be missed! Join us for this truly releasing and laughter-provoking 5 days / 4 nights immersive workshop in the company of the superlative comedy improvisation company, Instant Wit!  Absolutely no previous experience of acting, performing or comedy improvisation is necessary for this event, nor any desire to perform in the future - just a willingness to take part, and a general desire to access your creativity by inviting more fun and spontaneity into your day-to-day life.  Say “Yes, and…”, experiment and play! …… in fact, find your funny bone in the welcoming, supportive and beautiful surroundings of Les Soeurs Anglaises.

Expert facilitator, actor, comic, voiceover, Chris Grimes, and his InstantWit team will be leading an event choc-full of experimentation and fun, supported by elegantly sympathetic technique.   Together participants will explore the skills and enjoyment of Comedy Improvisation along with it’s wonderfully liberating mindset of ‘Yes and...’

Laugh - Play - Enjoy - Be Amazed - Breathe - Surprise Yourself - Giggle - Eat glorious fresh food in beautiful surroundings and with wonderful company. And then, guess what? Laugh some more! To top it all, on the Saturday night there will also be an opportunity to sit back, relax and enjoy InstantWit in action - as they perform a full show for the workshop participants, and members of the public.

Day 1

Travel day - you will be sent information regarding transportation to Les Soeurs Anglaises (pick-ups are generally late afternoon) from Angouleme train station and Bergerac airport. Welcome, Meet + Greet dinner at the house.

Day 2

The Workshop experience commences in earnest: In a fast moving, fun packed, laughter provoking exploration of Comedy Improvisation - along with its liberating “yes and...” mindset and methodology. Delivered in a supportive “Drama Workshop” style and format.  

Day 3

Workshop continues in L’Espace Studio

Day 4

Workshop continues in L’Espace Studio with a performance in the evening (optional)

Day 5

Day to relax and discuss with Chris how the workshop has gone and its personal value

Day 6

Brunch and departures before lunch.

•  Booking Deposit of $253 / 330€ / £300

• The Balance due 6 weeks prior to the workshop
