No previous experience of acting, performing or comedy improvisation necessary - just a willingness to take part, and a general desire to access your creativity by inviting more fun and spontaneity into your day-to-day life. This really is an experience not to be missed!
the event
Expertly led by Chris Grimes - facilitator, actor, comic, voiceover - and his InstantWit team of professional actors, comedians and musicians, the 4 day event will be choc full of experimentation and fun, supported by elegantly sympathetic technique. Together participants will explore the skills and enjoyment of Comedy Improvisation along with it’s wonderfully liberating mindset of ‘Yes and...’ It’s an unmissable invitation to come along and laugh - play - enjoy - be amazed - breathe - surprise yourself - giggle - eat glorious fresh food in beautiful surroundings and with wonderful company - and then guess what? Laugh some more! And on the Saturday night there will also be the opportunity to sit back, relax and enjoy INSTANT WIT in action - as they perform a full show for the workshop participants, and members of the public.
about Chris Grimes
Chris Grimes is the Artistic Director of INSTANT WIT and the principle workshop leader for the company. He is a highly experienced workshop leader, facilitator & coach. He trained initially as a Drama Teacher at the Central School of Speech & Drama in London, before going on to do the 2 Year Postgraduate Acting course at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School, from where he was awarded the Peter Akerman Prize for Comedy. Since 1988 he has pursued a portfolio career combining all of the transferable skills of being an actor, teacher, trainer, comedy improvisation performer & coach. He has also holidayed at Les Soeurs Anglaises two years running!

itinerary
DAY 1
Travel day - you will be sent information regarding transportation to Les Soeurs Anglaises (pick-ups are generally late afternoon) from Angouleme train station and Bergerac airport. Welcome, Meet + Greet dinner at the house.
DAY 2
10am to lunchtime, the Workshop experience commences in earnest with INSTANT WIT: In a fast moving, fun packed, laughter provoking exploration of Comedy Improvisation - along with its liberating “yes and...” mindset and methodology. Delivered in a supportive “Drama Workshop” style and format.
DAY 3
10am to lunchtime, the Workshop experience commences in earnest with INSTANT WIT: In a fast moving, fun packed, laughter provoking exploration of Comedy Improvisation - along with its liberating “yes and...” mindset and methodology. Delivered in a supportive “Drama Workshop” style and format.
DAY 4
10am to lunchtime, the Workshop experience commences in earnest with INSTANT WIT: In a fast moving, fun packed, laughter provoking exploration of Comedy Improvisation - along with its liberating “yes and...” mindset and methodology. Delivered in a supportive “Drama Workshop” style and format.
DAY 5
10am to lunchtime, the Workshop continues - A final “Big Finish” morning workshop - including Q+A with members of the Instantwit company - followed by free time to relax and explore the wonderful surroundings.
DAY6
Brunch and departures before lunch.

A: Single occupancy of Superior double bedroom with en suite: 1400€ per person.
B: Shared occupancy of Superior double bedroom with en suite: 1150€ per person.
C: Single occupancy of Twin bedroom shared bathroom 1150€ per person
D: Shared Twin bedroom / shared bathroom: 975€ per person
Minimum 8 participants (max 12 residents)
A non-refundable deposit of 300€ is required for confirmation of booking (by Paypal, UK bank transfer, Sterling or Euro cheque) to secure a booking; the full balance being payable two months prior to the start of the workshop.
